Our committee volunteers are responsible for coordinating all
events, programs, and benefits offered by BIA-Hawaii.
Most committees meet for an hour a month and are rewarded with
opportunities for personal and professional development.

MEMBERSHIP: This committee creates
programs and benefits to stimulate member recruitment,
retention, and participation. Dinner Meetings, Membership
Drives and BIA-BUCKS are examples of the benefits the

SPIKE: This committee encourages
current members to recruit new members. Points and awards
are given to those who help recruit and renew members and their
investment in BIA-Hawaii. Year long competitions and
awards are held both locally and nationally. For more

COUNCILS: BIA-Hawaii has three
special interest councils for Remodelors, commercial builders,
and new home sales agents. These councils are run by
committees that coordinate seminars, events, and awards.

HOME BUILDING & REMODELING SHOW
(HBRS): This committee recruits exhibitors and
coordinates the seminars, contests, and other special events
related to the show. A special Marketing sub-committee
meets to raise public awareness of this educational

PARADE OF HOMES (POH): This committee
is responsible for the logistical coordination of the various
events associated with POH. Subcommittees of Parade of Homes
are Budget, Sales, Marketing, Sponsorship, Golf, Judging, and

EDUCATION COMMITTEE: This
committee coordinates educational seminars and workshops such
as safety training and certification, business management,
technology, etc. For more information, call the

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS: This committee
tracks federal, state, and county issues at the
legislature. They attend hearings, effect congressional
contracts, and provide written testimony at the different
levels of government. For more information, call our

BUILD-PAC HAWAII: This officially
registered political action committee raises funds and supports
pro-building industry legislative candidates. For more
